how long has he been in recovery? it can take 18 – 24 months for some of the brain function to get back to normal. and some damage can be permanent. i am 21 months clean and i know that my nervous system is still not quite normal and i don’t find pleasure in things i once enjoyed, speaking of just normal everyday activities or hobbies. that is due to all the damage that was done to the dopamine stores and the pleasure center of the brain. time will help most of all i think and i am believing God to heal what is left to heal in me since He has healed so much already. He took my cravings from me and I know He can heal the rest! good luck and God bless!
