Crystal Meth Facts: Do Neurotransmitters Levels Return and Regulate Back to Normal After Smoking Marijuana?
Question by Kyle: Do neurotransmitters levels return and regulate back to normal after smoking marijuana?
First, this is a completely scientific question not a moral or opinion question on the use of marijuana. I would like to know if neurotransmitters levels (Dopamine, norepinephrine, serotonin, ect.) effected by all chemicals found in clinical grade marijuana, re-regulate and return back to normal after ceasing use of marijuana?
Please include source of knowledge if possible, links appreciated.

the neurotransmitters levels will return to normal. Marijuana increases the bodies natural production of dopamine while “high”, it is only seen in hard drugs such as heroine and crystal meth that the body will not return to it’s normal levels. Hard drugs, such as those previously listed, force more dopamine and norepinephrine into the neurological receptors permanitly damaging them. Thus an addiction is formed as the bodies natural chemicals are not enough to keep one content. Marijuana is not powerful or harmful enough to permanently destroy the bodies natural chemical needs/levels. In fact it does not damage neurotransmitters at all.
