I’ve noticed the word methylphenidate “meth” in there and it’s a bit alarming. How is it legal for any child to take anything with the word “meth” in it????????

I think that concerta should not be given to children because although it helps children with ADHD concentrate it is still bad for their heart and can lead to addiction.
It is an amphetamine but it is not as bad as methamphetamine.
But methyl in chemistry terms just means that there is a CH3 group in the structure. For example methylmorphine in the chemical name for codeine which is in cough mixtures
