While most people would’ve thought Brian “Head” Welch was sitting on top of the rock world back in 2003 and 2004, he was actually hitting rock bottom. At the time, Welch was lead guitarist for the nu-metal band Korn, which was filling arenas, selling millions of albums and scoring radio play with songs, such as “Freak On a Leash.”
