Everybody makes mistakes and peer presure is a common enough excuse. But just like with any drugs you can get addicted and you can get damage from using it only a couple times.People have died from trying drugs just once.Drugs are unpredictable and you never know for sure what your being given each time.My suggestion to you, is to get away from these "friends " of yours that are causing you too use.Be the stringer person and walk away. The life of a drug addict isnt much a life...especialy crystal meth. You lose everything and everyone that you care about, once you get hooked.Dont risk your ife trying to cool or fit in...where do you want to be 5 years from now? |

You can't help your friends but you can help yourself by telling them NO. By you saying no and not doing it your friends will do less, at least when their around you anyways. Yes, an addiction to the pipe as well as the dope can happen after just a few uses. If you stop now you may have a chance and a life. Good luck |

I know ( I am related to) a long time Meth and Crack user, who started out like you. Just a "now and then " user. She has now been in rehab three times, and has lost any chance of ever seeing her children again. She once told me "I sometimes pull chunks of glass out of my skin cause of the shit I take ". I am 100% serious, and I hope you dont touch that stuff again. It will destroy your life, trust me. I have seen first hand what it does to people. |

Yes, meth is highly addictive. Methamphetamine (or “meth”) is a powerful drug that gives users an intense rush that comes when dopamine is released into the part of the brain that controls the feeling of pleasure. Meth is highly addictive, not only because it provides a rush, but also because it increases energy and alertness and decreases appetite, Methamphetamine affects your body. Over "amping " on any type of speed is pretty risky. Creating a false sense of energy, these drugs push the body faster and further than it's meant to go. It increases the heart rate, blood pressure, and risk of stroke. •Methamphetamine affects your self-control. Meth may be as addictive as crack and more powerful. •Methamphetamine is not what it seems. Even speed drugs are not always safe. Giga-jolts of the well-known stimulants caffeine or ephedrine can cause stroke or cardiac arrest when overused or used by people with a sensitivity to them. •Methamphetamine can kill you. An overdose of meth can result in heart failure. Long-term physical effects such as liver, kidney, and lung damage may also kill you. I believe that drug addiction is a disease characterized by changes in the brain which result in a compulsive desire to use a drug. A combination of many factors including genetics, environment and behavior influence a person's addiction risk, making it an incredibly complicated disease. The new science of addiction considers all of these factors - from biology to family - to unravel the complexities of the addicted brain. But also, individuals who don't receive enough natural rewards from their social environment are more susceptible to stimulating their neglected brain reward pathway with drugs. The two most important ways to decrease meth use among your peers are 1) don't use it, be the anti-peer pressure example that enables others to say "no. " 2) Educate yourself and Educate your peers - most powerful early intervention. |

You can get stuck on that for the first time. but ill tell you this, you will regret doing it. only way for friends to quit is to cut off everyone using drugs and probably rehab. |

Do a little research and educate yourself about all the nasty ass chemicals used to make meth. If this doesn't convince you to never use it again, then sorry to say you've already suffered brain damage. |

Ok i know you have alot of answers to this and alot of people telling you that you need to stay away from your friends and that is easier said then done. so i figured i would give you my input. friends they come and they go alot in life and if these people are making you do something they are not your friends even if they are offering it. it is your choice and only you can determine the outcome. my advice is to tell them next time they ask nah i am good you know and see how they react. if they react poorly then i think it is time to say by to these people there are so many other people that i sure you could see yourself being friends with.. so to end this i would like to tell you that its mind over matter if you truly want to never do this again then you can. |
