meth addict and said she almost OD’d. I suspect she shot-up at some point in her meth “career”, she says she didn’t, but I am starting to doubt her. About A LOT of things, unfortunately. Anyway, I think she did and I think shooting up would be the most likely suspect for her OD. I know you can OD from almost anything, but what I am asking is, do you think she shot up? BTW, she has been in rehab twice. I know, I can pick ‘em! I chose marriage and divorce because there is no addict section in YA, so I hope you understand, I am looking for adults to answer, not middle schoolers. Thanks!
Miss Ball, thank you for answering, but ppl inject meth ALL the time. And yes, meth is an evil drug, truly evil, and BTW, I dabbled off and on for years, but finally got tired of it 10 years ago and quit. You’re right, she does have some brain damage from it, just short-term memory loss. Other than that, I swear, you would never know she was in recovery!

I lost my brother in law to an OD of meth. He thought it was coke..but it wasnt! Him and another guy died and the other probably wish he had too! Yes you can more or less OD on any type of drug!
Only she would know if she shot up..but I don’t think that really makes much of a difference! Snort smoke or shoot..it’s all the same if you think about it!

You have answer your own question you can OD both ways. I mean just because she has been in rehab twice doesn’t mean anything. Just that she need more help than others. And if you care for her you will be there to help her through this.
Dump this chick and get on with your life. Why would you want to have a relationship with her? I would try to help her get clean but I wouldn’t date an addict. Especially meth or coke. Get away from her before she cleans out your house of your belongings to fuel her addiction. Trust me on this one, I have had old friends that got addicted to this sh*t and they broke into my house and a couple other people’s homes to find things to pawn and get money for.
Having worked in law enforcement, I can tell you this much: You can’t believe a word that comes out of a meth addict’s mouth. It’s a nasty, filthy, disgusting drug.
Yes, she could have OD’ed from shooting up, but I’ve seen meth addicts OD from injesting and snorting it, also.
My question is, does it really matter to you how she OD’ed? If you intend to stay with this woman and help her ride out her recovery, put small questions like “how” aside and concentrate on the recovery process itself.

You can od on anything….No , and if you are concerned demand a test . Test the hair . Do you suppose that is why there are so many young men out there that choose to cut it off .?
As someone who is a recovering addict (from more than just meth, but that was there too) my experience has been that anyone can OD on just about anything out there by snorting, smoking or shooting as it doesn’t matter HOW the drug gets into your system to make you OD just that it DOES GET IN. (expect weed (the most it will do is put you to sleep if you smoke too much!) As for her ever shooting up? Well, only she can honestly answer that question and if she says no then that is what you need to go with; unless you are starting to doubt her in other ways (which it sounds like to me). You said she has been to rehab twice – but is she involved in Narcotics Anonymous or any other program that can help her learn how to live life without drugs? You need to pick whole women not broken women. This is not something you can fix, only she can fix this problem. She has no business in a relationship until she is whole again. Drug addicts all lie, it is the nature of addiction. Find a good woman somewhere else.
Narconon is an anti drug program that actually works! I know people who have succesfully done the program…
